Clean Truck Check is California's heavy-duty vehicle emissions compliance program. Compliance testing must be performed by a CARB credentialed tester who has completed CARB's free online Tester Training Course and scored at least 80 percent on the accompanying exam. A&T Fleet Compliance is fully certified to perform Clean Truck Check compliance testing.
Most commercial diesel vehicles require annual emissions compliance testing. All compliance deadlines on or after January 1, 2025 require the submission of a passing emissions compliance test. Testing frequency may vary based on vehicle age, type, and usage patterns.
Emissions compliance testing requirements are effective October 1, 2024. All vehicles will have a compliance deadline, and owners must pay the vehicle's annual compliance fee and ensure the vehicle has no outstanding enforcement violations. We handle all CARB submissions and documentation.
For vehicles subject to Clean Truck Check, you must pay your annual compliance fee before the due date to remain compliant. The annual fee increases in accordance with California's Consumer Price Index.
Clean Truck Check began in January 2023 with the use of roadside emissions monitoring devices to screen for vehicles that may have high emissions. Non-compliance can result in violations and fines.
